About us

AMWA Organic was founded in 2009 as a socially responsible company. Our mission is to propagate ethically and ecologically produced organic textiles and bring practical solutions at the same time. Thanks to that, we became the first Czech company, that specialised exclusively on organic and fairtrade textile.

Our assortment of organic home textiles with a special stress on bedding is unique in the Czech Republic. We use only pure, ethically and ecologically produced high quality organic materials believeing that quality and durable production is what we, as a humankind, should be looking for. Our activities have over the years evolved also into organic material supplying both to wholesale and retail customers where we offer organic cotton materials and it´s blends with bamboo and peace and organic silk. We supply hotels and other accommodation facilities with custom-made equipment and manufacture custom organic textile products for our wholesale customers.

Since the very beginning we have been active also in non-profit sector giving lectures and propagating the benefits of organic textile production to the public, regarding it as an indiscerptible part of our working. We organize separate public events on organic textiles every year and have a long-term cooperation with Czech NGO´s that follow the similar goals.

Green outside, green inside

We take part in the global efforts to change the existing shortsighted exhausting of the natural resources into harmonic and respectful attitude to all living which surrounds us and which we are a part of with an inevitable mutual influence. But it doesn´t end with our materials and products. Our endeavour after the minimal burden for people and the environement runs through the everyday processes of the whole company:

• the internal paperwork is printed in the utter minimal scale

• 98 % of the paperwork, propagation, packing and informational flyers are printed on recycled or FSC certified paper with ecological certificates such as Blaue Engel and Nordic Environmental Label on our own printer with the full use of the possibility of cartridge refillment

• it is against our conviction to have made new cardboards only for one use – that´s why most of our parcels are packed in second-hand cardboards

• the cushioning material is always second-hand and in many cases also made from recycled raw material

• we are preparing 100% biodegradable plastic packing for our products (as soon as our partner develops it:)

• our facility is heated with biomass

• we use only organic or ecological cleaning detergents
