Bags against ACTA

  The project Bags against ACTA is a non-profit project of AMWA Organic, which was joined by all parts of the production chain under the same means - from the foreign supplier, through the whole team at AMWA Organic, the graphic designer, the printing studio to the distribution channels.

These bags from 100% organic and fairtrade cotton were created as an expression of a mutual disapproval to ACTA.

Why organic and fairtrade bags?
  Because we are trying to do things honestly and also because we are trying to send out a message, that a price of a product should be based on its true quality and production process, not only on a value of a brand, that is so often created only by artificial promotional and advertising proclamations with no real background.

- Did you know, that most of the textile production takes place in out-sourced textile factories in the developing countries, where expensive brands are produced side-by-side the cheap no-name ones, whilst the difference can more or less - depending on the case - only in the label stitched? 

No wonder, that these producers are so afraid of counterfeiting and that there is now such a stress on the implementation of ACTA. Since the value of an advertisement-based brand is in its essence fictional and not lasting, it is - of course - necessary to protect it by any means possible.

Dear conventional textile producers, if you offered real values and quality for the same price - not materials that harm the environement and a production that due to endless cost reduction in the pursuit for maximalization of profit results in people dying (see Clean Clothes Campaing), you would not have to be afraid of counterfeiting so much.

But then, you wouldn´t make so much money...

In spirit of our disapproval with ACTA, which we think through restraining fundamental freedoms can benefit mostly only unscrupulous business, we are releasing the People against ACTA logo, that we created for this project, for free noncommercial use.
