Peace silk is very specific, it does not harm the silk moths, which are left to complete their life-cycle and only after they naturally leave the cocoon are these picked and used for silk fabrics production. As the cocoons have been already pearced by the moths, the manufacturing process requires a whole other attitude where the silk fibers are spun to create a new astonishing quality of silk fabrics.

It is an ethical alternative for all who have been avoiding silk for the neccessity of the silk moths larvae killing (roasting or boiling) during production. Frankly speaking, the number of cocoons needed (and thus larvae killed) for conventional silk fabrics production is enormous and represents approximately 1500 cocoons for 1 square meter of woven silk fabric.
